Sister Maryann Engelhardt, SDS
Nurse
Sister
Mary Ann has worked as a nurse, nursing school
instructor and has a Master's Degree in community mental
health. She has
found that touch and movement are calming and affect the
body, mind and spirit of her clients. Currently, she
ministers to older Sisters at the Salvatorian Sisters
Residence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She
has faith in the healing power of God and each person.
These beliefs have brought her to explore
integrative medicine during the course of her varied
health care related ministries.
Today
she believes that healing is part of a broad spectrum of
care that includes the wisdom of other cultures and
utilizes such therapies as acupressure, acupuncture,
counseling and massage.
"
I try to bring life and hope to people who are having
different life challenges. We are trying to enhance the
healing process by including and recognizing that
balance of body, mind and spirit is
essential," Sister Maryann pointed out.
Sister
Bernadette Kline and Sister Maryann are enthusiastic
supporters of the Green Bay Packers. Sister Maryann watches and
prays for the success of "the Pack."
