2005 Salvatorian Christian Service
Awards
Forty-three Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) Seniors received the Salvatorian Christian
Service Award. These young women have ministered in
their homes, parishes, communities, and throughout the
USA and the world. They have made a difference in many
lives. To the student, they recognize that their own
hearts have been changed because of the service. We
commend their parents and DSHA for instilling these
values.
The Christian Service Award was
initiated in 1988 to celebrate the Sisters' centennial.
As sponsors of DSHA, we present this award because it is
an embodiment of our own and the school's mission to
serve nationally and globally.
Each of our Sisters who interviewed the
students were inspired by their dedication. “It was a privilege to help interview and participate in the dynamic faith lives of these young women. I am filled with gratitude for them, for their parents, and for what our school is
accomplishing," said Sister Elaine Czarnezki, SDS,
Justice and Peace coordinator. Sister Karlyn Cauley,
SDS, New Membership, added, "The day of interviews showed me how our
Sisters touch their lives in meaningful ways. The
administration and faculty do a faithfully dynamic job
for our Church's future. This generation is bringing
many gifts to Catholic leadership."
