Prayers & Reflections

Advent Reflection

We are to prepare to welcome our Savior. The ministry of John the Baptist reminds us that we must continually prepare ourselves to welcome our Savior when he returns. John preached repentance and charity toward one another. His teachings are still relative in today's world. Clinging to sinful and selfish ways can keep us from unity with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We heard in Gaudate Sunday's readings that the Lord is with His people and that this is happening through Jesus. We hear of John the Baptist teaching about loving and caring for one another.

Sister Virginia Honish, far left, and Sister Jane Eschweiler, are missioned by the SDS leadership team. Sisters Virginia and Jane will be missionaries to Tanzania in the coming month working with our Salvatorian Tanzanian Sisters to strengthen the English skills required by the Tanzanian education system. Please keep all involved in your prayers as you move through Advent and Christmas.
