Father Jordan Reflection
The call to religious life was regarded by co-founder Father
Francis Jordan as a great gift of divine love. Faithfulness to one's vocation
and the gospel counsels were frequent topics of his urgent, staccato, rapid fire
exhortations. Poverty he loved and urged on his community; celibate chastity was
assumed; the school of obedience was an education in surrender to the will of
God and an antidote to self will.
