God of Light

Jesus challenges us to be salt and light - to influence the world, and to be seen to be doing so. God of Light, be our Light.

As salt of the earth, may we be true to the calling and responsibility to be influences for good in the world. God of Light, be our Light.

As light shines in the darkness, may we allow the light of God to shine through us through acts of compassion and kindness toward those we know and those we meet along the way. God of Light, be our Light.

Let us go in the peace of Christ to love and serve God and one another, to be salt and light for the world. Amen.
