Our Sisters were asked to come to Portage
in 1917 to build and staff Divine Savior Hospital. In
1923, Divine Savior Nursing Home began as a home for
frail women. Today we are constructing a new rehabilitation
center to continue and expand the mission of this institution.
When you walk through the doors of the Divine Savior
Health Care Facilities you can feel the deep caring
concern of all the staff.
Mission is part of every decision we make.
We do so much more than just provide hospital and nursing
care. Examples of those expanded services include providing
the community with health education, a rehabilitation
center and diagnostic imaging. Our services are continually
evolving.
We collaborate with the community, doing whatever we
can to help. We worked together to establish an ambulance
service at the request of local government officials.
Our country has also discontinued home health care and
we are now expanding our services to meet these ever-increasing
needs.
