About Us

Mother Mary and Fr. JordanThe congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, also known as the Salvatorian Sisters, takes its name from the Latin word Salvator, which means Savior. Our international religious community was co-founded by Venerable Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan and Blessed Mary of the Apostles in Tivoli, Italy in 1888. Today our Salvatorian Sisters minister in 29 countries on five continents to make known the goodness and kindness of Jesus, Savior of the world.
