Human slavery and the trafficking and sale of vulnerable men, women and children is a reality in our world today. Since 2001, the Sisters of the Divine Savior have had a role of international involvement and leadership on this social justice issue. Along with efforts to address other social justice needs such as poverty, the rights of women and other marginalized people, immigration, the plight of children and teens, and the care of the earth, the community’s efforts in the area of human trafficking and slavery have been collaborative, bringing hundreds of groups and individuals together to respond.
