Jordan Ministry Team

Jordan Ministry’s team of trained professionals collaborates with the Diocese of Tucson, Ariz. in response to the Second Vatican Council’s call to holiness and participation in the mission of the Church. The team provides theological and spiritual formation to foster Catholic leadership and promote spiritual growth throughout the diocese. Sponsored by the Salvatorian Family, the Jordan Ministry Team includes a Salvatorian Priest and Salvatorian Sister, and its board of directors always includes at least one Lay Salvatorian. The initial dream for Jordan Ministry was a center in Tucson where Catholic ministers and ministers-in-training could gather for retreats, workshops and classes. The “roving” team that has evolved since Jordan Ministry began in 2000 has actually been more beneficial. Jordan ministers are privileged to share the realities of parish life in many locations, and people in remote locales can receive the same quality programs as those in the city. Jordan Ministry collaborates with Tucson’s diocesan offices of worship, formation, youth ministry, catechesis and social mission, and the ministry has grown to include two prisons and the Carondolet Health Care System.
