Southwest Medical Aid

Southwest Medical Aid (SMA) in Tucson, Arz. gathers surplus medical supplies and distributes them to clinics in Arizona, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Uganda, Ethiopia, Peru—anywhere requested. SMA was founded over nine years ago by Lay Salvatorian Jan Izlar, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and families with medical, nutritional and hygiene needs. SMA is a collaborative ministry of the Salvatorian Family of priests and brothers, sisters and lay men and women.
