"I deeply love the elderly and am privileged ... to help them know that they are loved. I find God's presence in being with them."
Sister Patricia Wieloch, SDS remembers meeting Salvatorian Sisters for the first time at the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau, Wis. where her mother worked. She felt drawn to religious life with her deep desire to care for people and to focus on prayer.
Reflecting on sixty-five years as a Sister of the Divine Savor, Sr. Pat, has said, “I have had time for prayer and helping others. Because we sisters live in community, we are able to care about and support one another. We’ve also learned how to be open to many different types of people.”
For more than 20 years, Sr. Pat ministered in Cadott, Columbus, and Wausau, Wis., as well as Milwaukee. She also served for a time as coordinator of St. Mary’s Convent in St. Nazianz, Wis., and ministering as a certified nursing assistant at Divine Savior Healthcare (DSH) in Portage, Wis.
