2015 Missioning: Tanzania Education Initiative
June 8, 2015
“Go Make a Difference” rang out in our Queen of Apostles Chapel here at the Community House as part of our mission send-off for Sr. Barbara Reynolds, SDS and Lay Salvatorian Sue Haertel. This 2015 Tanzanian Educational Initiative picks up where they left off last summer. They will leave for Africa on June 10 and spend the coming weeks tutoring Salvatorian Sisters in Tanzania and Democratic Republic of the Congo to improve their English reading and writing skills. English literacy is critical to pass government tests in their home land for employment as teachers and nurses. These ministries can help to improve quality of life for their local people and help our sisters’ missions become self-sustaining.
