2020 Birthday Advice: Sister Jane Barman
January 23, 2020
As Salvatorian Sisters continue to age in wisdom and grace in the year 2020, each shares advice to her 20-year-old self to celebrate her birthday.
I entered the convent on December 27, 1947. On January 23, 1948, I turned 20 so I was a brand new candidate. I joined about 20 other candidates ranging in age from 14-20 plus. I fit right in because I was the oldest of a large family, so I was living with all ages at home.
The advice I would give my 20 year old self is: “Follow your heart.”
