Christmas Reflection

Are there new ways for cradling life this Christmas?

Making space in quiet caves within for God?
Knowing the perfect gift is not bought, baked or boxed?
Welcoming the beatitude of the latecomer to the Christmas table?
Understanding the melancholy addressed on each friend’s envelope sent?

Here the piecemeal puzzle of my longing.

The prayer to hold my hopes, loves, beliefs laid on sweet straw,
the consent to life and love through ordinary practice,
the welcome given to my arrival to this
peace, joy, feast.

In honor of the sisters celebrating Jubilee

Lord, Jesus Christ, Savior of the world,
In order to follow you faithfully,
and to dedicate myself to the service of Your Church
for the salvation of all,
I renew my sacred commitment to You as a Salvatorian.

I create one to sustain the next

And God said,
I show my love in all that I create.

St. Theresa’s Prayer

May today there be peace within you.

Prayer for Strength

Jesus, surround me with your love.

A Prayer for Serenity

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Calm in the Christmas Season

What will it take to calm this Christmas Season?
The weeks present many things we don’t need, so little time and room to give.
