
SDS Hope House fights the good fight vs. human trafficking

The Sisters of the Divine Savior have been honored by Casa Cornelia Law Center of San Diego with the 2014 La Mancha Humanitarian Award. Sister Sheila Novak, SDS (left) and Sister Jean Schafer, SDS were recognized for their SDS Hope House ministry, which provides survivors of human trafficking with safe shelter and vital resources to rebuild their lives. Each year, the La Mancha Awards shine a light on outstanding contributions to the Casa Cornelia mission to provide quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations.
