“For me, my religious vocation has been a rewarding and fulfilling life.”
Sister Jean Marie Hauck’s primary ministry in her 65 years of vowed religious life was teaching. She served as an art teacher at Holy Family School in Huntsville, Alabama from 1989 to 1996. During those years, she also designed bulletin board displays and did other creative projects for Holy Family Parish. In earlier years, she served as a parish minister in Brookhaven, Miss., and from 1950 to 1986, she taught elementary students in Wisconsin, Maryland, Minnesota, as well as Alabama.
A nature lover at heart, Sr. Jean Marie spent vacation time over the years visiting national parks across the U.S. Sr. Jean Marie was born in Aberdeen, S. Dakota, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee.
She says, “For me, my religious vocation has been a rewarding and fulfilling life.”
