Educator first. Music lover always. Taught by Salvatorian Sisters in grade school and early music lessons, Sr. Marion felt their influence in her call to religious life and to her life’s work in the classroom. With a music degree in violin performance, and a master’s degree and doctorate in music education, Sr. Marion spent nearly 40 years as an educator. She specialized in training music teachers for schools in urban settings.
Following her years as a dedicated teacher, Sr. Marion served two terms as U.S. Provincial and as a general councilor and secretary for our international leadership team in Rome. Upon her return to the U.S. in 2019, she said “I appreciated the privilege of coming to know a world view of our congregation and Salvatorian Family.” Sr. Marion celebrates 60 years with the SDS congregation in 2023.
